"Do others opinions of you ever phase you?"
"Who knows? They perplex me; the way they choose to validate their opinion as if opinions had a right and a wrong. They conform with the popular belief and support the belief with confirmation biases, but for what reason? Social acceptance as leverage for self-acceptance? I don't say what they want to hear because I don't extrapolate the limited knowledge I have. If I do, then more often than not they'd quickly spiral into baseless arguments and frankly a waste of our breaths. I think presumptuous claims perplex me because it shows a very indecent and unpleasant side to their character that I used to view as sophisticated and open-minded."
"Their opinions of you do phase you."
"It is apparent. But I only noticed that now."
